Approach:

1:1 tutoring sessions include individualized reading, writing, and/or math instruction using a repetitive, multisensory and hands on approach to learning. The Orton-Gillingham approach is used to teach reading fluency and spelling skills to students seeking support in their foundational reading skills.

An elementary student may be working on skills that are different from the "equivalent" grade level they are in at school. Our groups strive to meet the needs of all students, without limiting them to their grade level. This is why we do not categorize our small reading groups by grade level or age, and need to determine the appropriate Reading Roots group for your child to ensure they receive the instruction they need.
